Erectile Dysfunction Treatment in Lahore
Weak erections, losing an erection before or during intercourse, or being unable to achieve an erection can affect confidence, intimacy, and married life. Patients often describe these concerns as mardana kamzori (مردانہ کمزوری), namardi (نامردی), nafs ki kamzori (نفس کی کمزوری), or an erection problem.
Dr. Farooq Nasim Bhatti provides confidential erectile dysfunction treatment in Lahore at Nasim Fertility Center in Johar Town. With more than 30 years of experience in sexual dysfunction, his treatment follows a biopsychosocial approach, considering physical health, psychological and psychosexual factors, sexual behavior, social influences, and the patient’s relationship with his wife or partner.
Treatment is directed toward the underlying cause rather than automatically relying on temporary erection medicines.

Are You Experiencing These Erectile Problems?
Erectile dysfunction does not always mean a complete inability to get an erection. It can appear differently from one patient to another. You may need an ED assessment if you experience:
- A weaker erection than before
- Difficulty achieving a full erection
- Difficulty maintaining an erection
- Loss of erection before vaginal penetration
- Loss of erection during intercourse
- Erection disappearing with or without ejaculation
- Complete inability to achieve an erection
Erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation are not the same condition. A man whose erection remains satisfactory but who ejaculates earlier than desired may have premature ejaculation. Some patients can experience both conditions together.
Identifying the exact sexual difficulty is important before beginning mardana kamzori
How Erectile Dysfunction Is Diagnosed in Lahore
Diagnosis begins with a confidential and detailed initial assessment.
Dr. Bhatti takes a comprehensive medical, social, sexual, developmental and relationship history.
This may include when the erection problem began, whether it developed suddenly or gradually, erection strength, the ability to maintain an erection, ejaculation, desire, masturbation-related concerns, previous sexual experiences, stress, marital circumstances, previous treatments and relevant medical conditions.
The relationship history with the wife or partner is also important because sexual difficulties do not always occur in isolation from the couple’s emotional and sexual dynamics.
Where necessary, the assessment may also include physical examination, selected laboratory investigations and psychological or stress assessment. Not every patient needs the same investigations.
Testing is chosen according to the individual history, symptoms and suspected cause. Comprehensive medical and sexual history is also a central recommendation in current international ED guidance.

Erectile Dysfunction Treatment Options in Lahore
There is no single ED treatment that works for every patient. Treatment is directed toward the underlying cause and varies according to the patient’s overall health, circumstances, and type of erectile dysfunction.
Sex Therapy and Counseling
Sex therapy plays an important role when ED is associated with performance anxiety, sexual fear, guilt, misinformation, relationship pressure, or negative expectations.
Counseling helps patients understand what is happening, reduce anxiety, rebuild sexual confidence, and improve communication between partners.
Treatment may address the factors that predisposed the patient to anxiety, the event that triggered the erection problem, and the factors that continue to maintain the difficulty.
For patients with predominantly psychogenic ED, this psychosexual component is central to treatment.
Medical Treatment for Erectile Dysfunction
For ED patients, medication is one part of a broader treatment plan.
Dr. Bhatti may combine selected prescribed medication with sex therapy and counseling according to the individual case. In his approach to psychogenic sexual dysfunction, medication is not used simply as an on-demand erection solution. It forms part of a structured program aimed at supporting normalization of the sexual response cycle while underlying psychosexual factors are addressed.
The treatment goal is to restore natural sexual function whenever clinically possible rather than automatically leaving the patient dependent on temporary performance medication whenever he has intercourse.
Treatment for Organic Erectile Dysfunction
When erectile dysfunction has an organic cause, the underlying health condition must also be addressed.
For example, a patient with diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, or another chronic condition requires appropriate management because the duration and severity of that disease can influence erectile recovery.
Some men with significant organic ED may require an assisted erection method. Depending on the condition, options can include oral ED medicines, intracavernosal medication, vacuum erection devices, or penile prosthesis surgery when less invasive approaches are unsuitable or unsuccessful.
The aim is to achieve the best sustainable sexual function possible while addressing both the organic problem and any psychological component that has developed around it.

Common Causes of Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction may be psychogenic, organic, or mixed. Dr. Bhatti’s biopsychosocial approach pays particular attention to psychological and psychosexual factors because these can be especially important among younger patients and can also complicate ED that began for an organic reason.
Psychological and Psychosexual Factors
Performance anxiety is one of the most important contributors to psychogenic erectile dysfunction. A man may experience erection difficulty once, become frightened that it will happen again, and begin closely monitoring his erection during the next sexual encounter.
Instead of responding naturally to intimacy and stimulation, he becomes concerned with whether he will “perform.” Anxiety rises, normal arousal is interrupted, and maintaining the erection becomes more difficult.
Dr. Bhatti’s research has also examined the effect of cultural misconceptions surrounding masturbation in conservative societies. The concern is not simply masturbation itself.
Fear that masturbation has permanently weakened the penis, caused impotence or “namardi,” together with guilt, fear of sin, shame, and misinformation, can create sexual arousal anxiety and performance anxiety.
Stress, relationship difficulties, negative sexual expectations, anxiety, and depression can also contribute. Where a patient has an established psychiatric condition and is undergoing psychiatric treatment, the primary psychiatric disorder should continue to be managed by the treating psychiatrist.
Physical and Organic Factors
Organic ED may be associated with conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, hormonal disorders, obesity, neurological disease, medication effects, previous surgery, injury, or structural changes affecting penile tissue.
A physical cause does not necessarily exclude a psychological component. Once a man experiences repeated erectile difficulty because of diabetes or another disease, fear of failure may develop and add psychogenic ED to the original problem.
Lifestyle Factors
Smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, poor sleep, obesity and poor general cardiovascular health can contribute to erectile problems and should be considered as part of the patient’s overall assessment.
Psychogenic Erectile Dysfunction in Younger Men
Not every erection problem is caused by diabetes, hormones, or another physical disease. In many younger men, erectile dysfunction is strongly influenced by performance anxiety, fear of failure, sexual guilt, misinformation, and relationship pressure.
A man may lose his erection once and begin worrying that it will happen again. During the next sexual encounter, that fear increases self-monitoring and anxiety, which can interfere with normal arousal and make maintaining an erection even more difficult.
Dr. Farooq Nasim Bhatti has also studied the role of psychogenic sexual dysfunction in his clinical patients. In a clinic-based study of 430 men, 83% were classified as having psychogenic sexual dysfunction, and 86% of that group were younger than 40. After the structured 10-week treatment program used in the study, 96% regained a normal sexual response cycle.
His treatment approach focuses on identifying and treating the psychological and psychosexual factors maintaining the problem through sex therapy, counseling, correction of sexual misconceptions, and medically selected treatment when appropriate.
The study findings apply to Dr. Bhatti’s clinical patient group and should not be considered guaranteed outcomes for every ED patient.
Erectile Dysfunction and Non-Consummated Marriage
Erectile dysfunction is one possible reason a couple may be unable to consummate their marriage, but it is not the only cause.
Difficulty completing vaginal intercourse can result from erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, severe performance anxiety, vaginismus, fear of penetration, inadequate sexual knowledge, or several overlapping factors.
It should therefore not automatically be described as “male weakness.”
Dr. Bhatti’s assessment includes detailed sexual and relationship history and, where necessary, examination of genital and general health to establish the contributing cause.
Treatment can include sex education, sex therapy, counseling, and medically selected treatment. The treatment approach addresses the factors disturbing the patient’s or couple’s normal sexual response rather than relying only on temporary performance medication.
Why Choose Dr. Farooq Nasim Bhatti for ED Treatment in Lahore?
Dr. Farooq Nasim Bhatti has more than 30 years of experience in sexual health and sexual dysfunction, with clinical work covering erectile dysfunction, psychogenic sexual dysfunction, premature ejaculation, sex therapy, non-consummated marriage, relationship-related sexual problems, and male infertility.
His qualifications include MBBS, FAACS (USA), Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology (USA), CST, HSC Hong Kong, CART Malaysia, and CART China.

His clinical approach does not treat every erection problem in the same way. The purpose of consultation is to establish whether the problem is mainly psychogenic, organic, or mixed and then treat the factors contributing to that individual patient’s ED.
Consultations are private and respectful, allowing patients to discuss erection strength, sexual performance, ejaculation, desire, marriage, anxiety, masturbation concerns, and previous treatment without embarrassment or judgment.
How Your Erectile Dysfunction Consultation Works in Lahore
ED treatment begins with understanding why the problem is occurring.
1. Confidential Detailed History
Dr. Bhatti takes a comprehensive medical, social, sexual, developmental, and relationship history.
This may include when the problem began, whether it started suddenly or gradually, erection strength, ability to maintain erection, ejaculation, sexual desire, masturbation-related concerns, previous sexual experiences, medical conditions, previous treatments, stress, and marital circumstances.
2. Identifying the Type of ED
The assessment helps determine whether the erectile difficulty appears mainly:
- Psychogenic
- Organic
- Mixed
Relationship history with the wife or partner may also be important because sexual difficulty does not always occur separately from a couple’s emotional and sexual relationship.
3. Examination and Testing When Needed
Where clinically necessary, assessment may include examination of general and genital health, selected laboratory investigations, and psychological or stress assessment.
Not every patient requires the same tests.
4. Personalized Treatment Plan
Once the main contributing factors are identified, Dr. Bhatti recommends treatment according to the patient’s condition, health, sexual concerns, and relationship circumstances.
